
Vanessa Olguin
Vanessa is sophomore from Los Angeles, California, majoring in government and China Asia-Pacific studies and minoring in environmental sustainability sciences. Apart from Roosevelt, Vanessa is Vice President of Finance for La Asociación Latina, the Latinx umbrella organization for Cornell. She is also a member of the Cornell International Affairs Society and the Cornell Political Union, specifically as Vice Chair of The Independents Caucus. Vanessa is passionate about registering people to vote, reducing single-use plastic items, and foreign policy. This past summer she interned for a local Los Angeles council member's campaign, spent 3 weeks in Italy learning about immigration, demographic, and social welfare problems, and volunteered for DIY Girls, a Los Angeles based non-profit working to uplift underprivileged girls in STEM.
